Minor Bay’s July 1 – 7 trip was defined by the weather, as weather continued to cause havoc with the fishing this week.  Temperatures well below seasonal normals, high winds and rain plagued our guests and guides, making the fishing a challenge.  In spite of the nasty weather some nice pike were caught and released during this trip.  TJ Folliott garnered top pike honours with a fat 47-incher.  His dad, Pat wasn’t too far behind TJ with a 45 inch […]

The weather has remained cool, wet and windy for the second and third trips of our 2017 fishing season.  In spite of the below normal temperatures and unsettled weather conditions our guests recorded catching and releasing some great fish.

Andy Garst caught and released a 42″ laker as well as some monster northern pike during their four-day couples trip to Minor Bay Lodge.  Andy’s wife – not to be outdone, caught and released a fat, 36-inch lake trout the next day.
