An Incomparable Saskatchewan Fishing Experience

Fly-In Fishing in Saskatchewan

Enjoy exceptional catch-and-release angling for trophy northern pike, lake trout, walleye, and Arctic grayling at Wollaston Lake’s Minor Bay Lodge. Minor Bay Lodge has a reputation as one of Canada’s top trophy pike fishing lodges, and it’s our location that sets us apart.

Canada’s 13th largest lake, Wollaston Lake, covers an area of 1,035 square miles with 883 square miles of water within its boundaries. With a lake this size, you’d assume long boat rides to be standard fare. However, that’s not the case at Minor Bay Lodge. While other Saskatchewan fishing lodges on Wollaston Lake have long boat rides, Minor Bay Lodge is fortunate to be located right in the heart of southern Wollaston Lake. Here, shallow bays, rocky points, and numerous weed beds provide the ideal habitat not only for trophy pike but also for lake trout and walleye. Our ideal location means our guests experience shorter boat rides and more fishing opportunities.

If you need a change of scenery from Wollaston Lake, Minor Bay Lodge has a float plane we can fly to other pristine, remote lakes available for the exclusive use of our guests. Our Saskatchewan fishing packages also include professional fishing guides who offer excellent knowledge of Wallostan and our other lakes and will provide you with as much assistance as you’d like. With Minor Bay Lodge’s personalized service, your fishing vacation to northern Saskatchewan will be tailored to your desires, leading to the perfect fishing trip.

Guest Testimonials

"Incredible week of monster Pike fishing on Wollaston Lake! Our expert and friendly guide Tony led us to new holes every day that were full of monster Pike. Beautiful, unspoiled scenery and you never have to fish the same spot twice. Accommodations and food were better than I had anticipated. I will definitely be coming back."

"Randy and Bev with all the Minor Bay Lodge staff/ guides do an incredible job of taking care of their guest and going out of their way to meet our needs. We had a group of 17 with three separate families with three generations. They did an amazing job accommodating the 70-year-olds to the 10-year-olds and put us all of this on World Class Northern Pike and lake trout fishing. We will back next year!Grateful for the Great Memories with Friends and Family!"

"My son and I had a blast catching big pike the whole time we were there. We estimated somewhere around 150-170 boated fish with 20+ over 36 inches. My son caught a 47 inch pike which was our groups largest fish of the trip. The cabins were very comfortable and food was great. Our guide found big pike, lake trout and walleye each day. Thank you Randy, Bev and all staff for an excellent trip. We will be heading back for round 2 soon!"
